This review examines pdico, a dictionary file viewer tailored for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Developed by TaN, PDIC (Personal Dictionary) management software generates dictionary files that can be accessed through pdico. During testing, pdico demonstrated the ability to load dictionary files via its simplified HTTP server or through iTunes file sharing, facilitating easy file transfer. However, users should note that individual files must be prepared separately and that a PC with the respective PDIC file is necessary for initial setup.

Limitations observed include inconsistent compatibility with all PDIC format variations and difficulties in managing multiple files simultaneously, particularly regarding accurate index sorting. The application enables word-based searches using index words but does not support comprehensive text searches or dictionary editing functions.
